11.00am to 12.00pm Bentley Priory Museum,
Mansion House Drive, Stanmore HA7 3FB (free on-site car parking)
In a beautiful Grade II* listed Mansion House in Stanmore, Bentley Priory Museum tells one of the most important narratives of
modern history – how the Battle of Britain was won. Bentley Priory was Headquarters Fighter Command during the Battle of Britain and the Museum explores how technology, leadership and courage forged victory, enabling Britain’s darkest hour to also be her finest hour. The Museum highlights the contribution and importance of ‘The One‘, Air Chief Marshal Sir Hugh Dowding, ‘The Few‘, the aircrew who took to the skies to defend Britain, and ‘The Many‘, without whose tireless work on the ground victory would not have been possible.
Cost of £7 per adult, £4 for children aged 6 to 16. Maximum of 15 people. Full access to the Museum included after tour which explores the wider history of Bentley Priory before the Air Ministry bought it in 1926.

As he saw it this edict directed a female student’s concentration exclusively towards her art. However, nature being what it is, romances blossomed. This exhibition shows artworks by a number of those students who met their partners whilst at Herkomer’s School of Art
