King George Recreational Ground

The finale to Bushey Festival 2027 will be our Festival In The Park on Sunday 7th July, kicking off at 1.00pm. This is a FREE, all day family fun event in the King George Recreational Ground.

There will be lots happening. Great local live music, bar, dancing, fairground rides, craft stalls, delicious food and more. There will be fun activities for all the family.

We can now announce the acts that will be appearing on 7 July…..

On the Main Stage:


Des Feehily – Compere extrodinare and host of St Albans Jest Another Comedy Club is back this year to entertain the crowds at the main stage

Gordon Lungley – your favourite pub landlord and compere, Gordon is on the mic

1.00   Opening with Marco Town Crier – once again Marco will be starting our Festival off as only he can

1.05   Grange Academy –bring their talented pupils once again to open the Festival for us.


1.45   Beer O’Clock is a guitar and percussion duo, based in West London, playing a broad mix of blues, rock and roll, folk, country, and soul.

Predominantly an electric rocking blues duo, expect songs from the Rolling Stones, Dr. Feelgood, Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, and George Thorogood, along with more rootsy material from John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters etc.

2.15   Rock Choir – The UK’s largest contemporary choir returns to the festival

2.50   Scratch Band- 1st time at the Festival  Scratch are a energetic 4 piece covers band from Herts/North London with decades of experience playing in and around the South East. They play lively rock covers of Indie, Britpop, 80s & classic’s including Oasis, Sterophonics, Kings of Leon, Red Hot Chilli’s, Arctic Monkeys, Killers, and many more. Concentrating on upbeat party hits that go down great in every type of crowd they aim to have the audience singing, dancing and rocking along to songs from every era.


3.30   Helen, Vintage Singer – Festival regular Helen brings the vintage vibes to the main stage

3.45   Missing the Ferry   are three brothers and their best friend who perform a variety of Irish and Irish-influenced music as well as writing songs about identity and belonging. With inspiration as diverse as Brendan Shine, The Pogues and The Stone Roses their mission is to get people dancing and thinking. Anyone who has ever missed, or nearly missed, the Dublin-bound ferry from Holyhead will get the name. Don’t be Missing The Ferry yourselves today, it wouldn’t be Bushey Festival without the Ferry!


4.30   Helen, Vintage Singer

4.50   Jukebox – 2023 Marquee stage headliners on mainstage this year with their 50’s, 60’s classic British rock ‘n.roll


5.50   Pip will be singing and playing acoustic covers on guitar including songs by Lulu, Fairground Attraction, Oasis, Jeff Beck to name a few!  Pip also fronts band PIP in BOOTS so catch them when you can!


6.40   Damo And The Dynamites is a classic 1950s rock’n’roll and rockabilly outfit. Packed out the Horse and Chains at last year’s festival and returning to do it all again in the park.


8.00   Solarzone – an 80’s synth band with a distinctive sound and their own versions of 80’s classics! They’ll be finishing off the day in style with an energetic set you can all dance to.


Bowls Club Stage


Compere: Sarah Vista

Outlaw Songstress Sarah Vista – Spaghetti-Western Soundtrack style composer.will be hosting our original singer songwriters on the Bowls Club stage,  If you ask nicely she may sing a few songs herself!


2.00   Phil Matthews plays original indie folk music. He has a strong local following and regularly headline the most prestigious local music venues, such as The Garden Rooms, Fisheries wharf cafe, Oddfellows etc..

2.40   Oscar Stevens Father/son duo bringing original material to the Bowls Club stage this year

3.20   Julian Mount is a songwriter, singer and musician from St Albans.  He writes humorous and witty songs about people, places and dreams.  Don’t expect many love songs!

His songs, accompanied by acoustic guitar, take a look at life always from a quirky perspective.

Julian is an accomplished performer and loves to play live.  He lives alone with nearly 7 guitars and a range of hats.Pic

3.50   Laura Dannan With her quirky narrative style and relatable lyrics, Laura’s songs combine story telling with the use of vivid imagery as she brings a lighthearted approach to pondering life’s trials and tribulations.

4.20   Josh Ellis Semi-professional singer-songwriter exploring the dark side of Americana and blues, but however for the Festival he will be playing his more summery tunes!

5.00   Blue Jam Acoustic – A singer-songwriter acoustic duo whose melodies and lyrics draw inspiration from the land around them and the relationships of everyday people. Blending folk, blues, indie and country influences, they create an authentic sound that is uniquely BlueJam.

5.45   Bushey Ukes Local ukele club frequently found performing at venues around Bushey including our Easter Hop .  Anyone can join – the ukes welcome all levels of ability over 18 years of age Contact : busheyukes@gmail.com
