Window Wanderland

At the end of such a difficult year Bushey Festival are hoping to bring some seasonal cheer to the community. Building on the tireless efforts of local resident Helen Yenilmez, and the generosity of Luke Godfrey, to ensure the village has a Christmas tree each year, we are happy to announce that Bushey Festival will be funding this year’s tree on the green by the village pond.

We are also pleased to be locally leading Window Wonderland on behalf of Inspire All (formerely Hertsmere Leisure). This is a fun community event across the borough on the 19 – 20 December 2020

Bushey residents and businesses have shown what a wonderful and supportive community they are in what has been a very hard year for so many. We want to tap in to that great community spirit by asking local families, schools and businesses to Light Up Bushey!  Anyone can take part in this festive event. You can make a display in the windows of your flat, house, business, school, nursery, car, shop – or in your front garden! Residents will have access to a map to Window Wanderland so they can explore the neighbourhood on an evening walk on what we hope will be a magical event.

Bushey Festival will be offering a gift voucher for the most imaginative and creative idea and we will be asking residents who have made a special contribution to the community during 2020 to help us with the judging.
